Effective: 17 July 2026 · Version 2.0

Read these terms before using the site

These terms govern access to taxismap.com and its public content. They do not govern a customer deployment, software licence, professional service or support commitment, which requires a separate written agreement.

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of taxismap.com, referred to as “taxismap”, “we”, “us” or “our”. They apply to the website, its pages, public resources and functionality that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Site”).

By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded by these Terms.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to act for that organisation in relation to your use. You may not use the Site if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

3. Public website and contracted services

The Site describes taxismap capabilities, reference delivery patterns and possible engagement approaches. Website content is general information only. It is not an offer capable of acceptance, a technical specification, service-level commitment, certification, customer result, product warranty or promise that a particular capability is available for every vehicle program.

Any software, cloud service, integration, assessment, migration, support or professional service is subject to a separate written agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms in relation to the contracted service, the separate agreement controls.

4. Limited permission to use the Site

Subject to these Terms, taxismap grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable permission to access the Site and to download or print a reasonable copy of public content for your personal use or internal business evaluation. No other rights are granted by implication, estoppel or otherwise.

You must retain copyright, trademark and other proprietary notices. Written permission is required to republish, sell, syndicate, publicly display, create a commercial content product from, or systematically reproduce a substantial part of the Site. Ordinary linking and search-engine indexing that do not mislead users or impair the Site are permitted.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not, and must not help another person to:

  • access or use the Site unlawfully, fraudulently or in violation of another person’s rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to an account, system, network, non-public page or data;
  • probe, scan, circumvent or defeat security, access-control, rate-limit or authentication measures without written authorisation;
  • introduce malware, harmful code or data intended to disrupt, damage or obtain unauthorised access;
  • interfere with Site availability, infrastructure, monitoring or another user’s access;
  • use automated access at a volume or in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load or ignores a communicated technical restriction;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive non-public source code except where applicable law does not permit that restriction;
  • remove ownership notices, frame the Site deceptively, impersonate taxismap or imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist; or
  • submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, misleading or unauthorised personal or confidential information.

6. Intellectual property and brand

The Site and its original text, design, software, graphics, architecture illustrations, brand elements and selection and arrangement of content are owned by or licensed to taxismap and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. “taxismap” and associated brand elements may not be used in a company name, product, domain, advertising or other manner that suggests sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement without written permission.

Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance, if any, does not itself establish endorsement, certification, reseller status or a partnership.

7. Enquiries, feedback and submitted material

You represent that you have the right to provide information submitted through the Site and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. An enquiry is subject to review and does not require taxismap to accept a project, respond within a particular time or enter an agreement.

The general enquiry channel is not confidential.

Do not submit source code, credentials, vulnerability details, vehicle or driver data, precise location data, trade secrets, export-controlled material or other sensitive production information. A confidentiality obligation arises only under a separate written agreement signed by authorised parties.

If you voluntarily provide general comments or suggestions that are not confidential, you permit taxismap to use them to evaluate and improve its business and offerings without payment or an obligation to adopt them. This does not transfer ownership of your pre-existing intellectual property.

8. Automotive, cybersecurity and technical-use boundary

Site content is not a substitute for program-specific engineering, cybersecurity, privacy, safety, homologation, regulatory or legal review. Do not use the Site or its diagrams to control a vehicle, make a real-time driving or safety decision, configure a production environment, approve a release, assess legal compliance or respond to an incident.

Connected-vehicle systems vary by model, region, architecture, supplier and intended use. Any implementation must be evaluated, validated and operated under the responsible organisation’s own requirements, change controls and applicable standards.

9. Third-party links, platforms and content

The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites, networks, hosting infrastructure or other services. taxismap does not control their availability, security, content or privacy practices. A link is provided for convenience and does not constitute endorsement. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms and policies.

10. Availability, monitoring and changes

We may change, restrict, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site, its content or a feature at any time. We may monitor technical use for security, reliability, legal compliance and enforcement of these Terms in accordance with the Privacy Notice. We are not required to maintain an archived version or notify every visitor before a change.

We may restrict access when we reasonably believe use creates a security, legal, operational or third-party risk or violates these Terms. This does not limit remedies otherwise available to us.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. taxismap disclaims warranties and representations, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and that the Site will be secure, uninterrupted or error-free.

We use reasonable efforts to present useful information but do not warrant that every statement is current or applicable to your circumstances. You are responsible for independent evaluation before relying on Site content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, taxismap and its personnel, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, data or system availability, arising from or relating to the Site or these Terms, even if the possibility was known.

Where liability relating solely to the public Site cannot be excluded but may be limited, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid specifically for access to the Site during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim and MYR 500. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or other matters excluded from limitation by applicable law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless taxismap and its personnel and contractors from third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Site, material breach of these Terms, or infringement or misuse of another person’s rights or data. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by taxismap’s own unlawful conduct.

14. Legal and trade compliance

You must use the Site in compliance with applicable laws, including privacy, cybersecurity, anti-bribery, sanctions and export-control laws. You may not access, download, transmit or use content where doing so would cause you or taxismap to violate an applicable trade restriction. Nothing on the Site is intended as authorisation to export controlled technology or technical data.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to them or the Site are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts of Malaysia will have exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, each party should make a reasonable effort to give written notice of the dispute and seek a good-faith resolution.

16. General terms

Severability

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

No waiver

A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. A waiver is effective only for the specific matter for which it is given.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without written consent. taxismap may transfer them in connection with a merger, reorganisation, sale of business or transfer of the Site, subject to applicable law.

Entire agreement and relationship

These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the entire agreement about public Site use and replace prior discussions on that subject. They do not create employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary or exclusive dealing relationships. A person who is not a party has no right to enforce these Terms except where law requires.

Force majeure

taxismap is not responsible for a delay or failure in Site availability caused by events beyond reasonable control, including network or utility failure, provider outage, natural disaster, labour disruption, conflict, epidemic, government action or cyberattack.

17. Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms as the Site or legal requirements change. The effective date and version at the top identify the current terms. Material changes will be highlighted through an appropriate notice where required. Continued use after the new effective date means the revised Terms apply to that later use.

Questions, permissions requests and legal notices concerning the Site may be submitted through the taxismap contact page. Identify the message as relating to “Website Terms”.
